Aaniin Nijee (Hello friends)! The Algonquin Voice, is a site devoted to promoting a better understanding of the history and culture of the Algonquin group of Native Americans with particular emphasis on those known as the Anishinaabeg who live in the region of the Laurentian Great Lakes of North America. As did many other Alqonquin nations, the Anishinaabeg of the Great Lakes played a central role in the development of the United States as a Republic. For that and many other reasons including, for example, their significant contributions to the economic well-being of the United States, they have an important story to tell. We encourage all, non-Native and Native alike, who have an interest in that story to establish a dialog and take advantage of the Algonquin Voice personal outreach to learn more. Welcome!
